One robots falls into a bowl of cereal and...
[ ... Alright. Vec has seen a lot of things in his years of being his mistress' sitter. It comes with a territory as one of the two sets of ears/eyes of hers to compensate her 'imprisonment' here so he has more or less come to terms that he will see odd things.
Having a robot suddenly turn up in the breakfast table, landing in a bowl of dry cereal, maybe isn't one of them.
Vari escorts Jane out of the kitchen fast as possible, refusing to hear any protests from their owner, and Vec finds himself dealing with the mess. As usual. He sighs and begins to clean up the mess on the table, speaking to the new robot in an affable tone. ]
Meanwhile, on the other side of the conversation...
GIIIRRRUUUUUUUU!!!!! [This little bot is freaking out as he's falling OUT OF NO WHERE into a bowl of cereal. Leaping up, he looks around, not recognizing anything and pointedly ignoring the little flakes that got caught in a crevice or two of his little bot body.]
[Turning as he's being addressed by Vec, Giru's hands start to flail frantically in front of him in a motion that would suggest that he's not here to do any harm at all to anyone.]
Name is Giru! Not here to cause harm! No danger! giru giru. [Meanwhile, he is trying to spy an exit- because he would prefer to get out of here as fast as he can.]

hello. nice to meet you. i am vector v.01. call me vec. i recommend your identify yourself before i am forced to take matters in my own hands. it is something i wish not to do but will do so in order to protect my charge.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the conversation...

SLIDING IN HERE FASHIONABLY LATE.
Not to mention the fact the android feels a little guilty scaring the smaller one like that with his threat. Sighing, or 'sighing' since he did not need air, he raises his hands up. Trying to show he is harmless as he can be at the moment. ]
with how insistent you are, i think i should believe you and shall. no harm can come to that. hopefully.
... now i suggest you try not to leave the kitchen first. i admit this is all rather shocking but so is having a maid gynoid attempt to suck you into a vacuum cleaner.
[ He believes it is Vinculum's turn to vacuum the hallways and she can be a scary bot if she sees a mess. ]
IT'S ALL GOOD
giru giru giru. [Did Vec just catch him thinking of escaping?] Vec is not going to hurt Giru? We still on planet Earth?
[Because planet M-2 is the last place he wants to be.]
\ O /
of course. despite the claims of the golden mean's progress, we are not that advanced in travel.
no subject
[Noticing a spoon on the table next to him, he grabs it and...eats it.]
Quality of metal here is good. Tastes just like Earth metal.
no subject
[ He had other questions to ask -- So many of them! And for the mistress' sake of course -- but they are cut off when Giru decides to eat one of the spoons.
Oh. Now isn't that something. If Vec had eyebrows, they would raise up in some surprise to see someone eat his master's silverware in such a casual fashion. That was one of the good ones. ]
i apologize for not realizing how hungry you were. thank you for the compliment on the quality. i think? the master goes out of his way to give the best for his daughter.
no subject
[Finishing the fork, he starts to eye the rest of the room, as he hops off the table. You bet he's going to beeline for the nearest most tastiest looking piece of metal in there. Even if it's the dishwasher.]
no subject
He is now going to chase after Giru, trying to remain clam and cool as possible as that is how he's programmed to be. Can't be a nervous android now, can her? Oh no. Stay cool, stay collected--! ]
wait. please. i insist you cease and desist. we need the things here to function in regards to consumption of food and maintaining cleanliness here.
no subject
But Giru must consume to function. [He's reaching his little bot hand for that handle now...
even though he's too short to reach it]no subject
Shows how upset he is with the disorder. ]
i think we can reach a compromise of some sort. there is the shed out in the gardens with some discarded appliances and wires. you are free to eat those if you wish.
FOREVER LATE CRIES
giru giru Okay! [He looks around nervously...] But Giru still not know where this is. Or who lives here. Vec has a master?
HUGS HELLO AND DON'T WORRY! o / [1/2]
i do. his name is sir shelley. we are in his home with his daughter, mistress jane shelley, as the main member of the house at the moment.
[ He gestures for Giru to follow him now. No time like the present when it came to eating materials. He opens the door that will lead to the hallway and-- ]
[2/2]
Before she even speaks, Giru could possibly hear Vec sigh in patience and slight annoyance at the sudden appearance of his fellow nanny-bot. ]
vec! what are you doing? who is this with you? you know how master shelley feels about unauthorized guests in his home.
no subject
Name is Giru! giru giru. Giru didn't mean to intrude, no calculations or logistics can tell why Giru is here!
no subject
That doesn't make her feel any better but... ]
hello giru. i'm vari, mistress shelley's caretaker. [ She should try to be polite. She crouches down,t rying to make eye contact with the much much smaller robot. ] are you okay? i hope you were not pulled out of any important business when you. arrived here.
no subject
Is functioning at 100%, Vari... but my current location is still unknown other than the information Vec has provided! giru. Last known location was at Capsule Corporation, West City, 3338926 K, Earth. All business taken care of!
no subject
i never heard of such a corporation. or city.
[ Vec shrugs and gestures for his companion to stand up. ] perhaps we should wait for now. i bet our friend here is very hungry. is that not right, giru?
no subject
[Oh but...food. Yes. He's starving. His little red eye flashes in agreement.]
giru giru giru Lead the way! [Man, that made Giru happy.] Has one question however! Is this place also inhabited by other machines?
no subject
Long as it doesn't involve getting the Shelleys into it.]
of course. we are not the only android and gynoid and robot here. in fact i bet if we go into the gardens we'll come across verlt there. he should be tending to the flowers now. why do you inquire that?
no subject
Giru come from a planet only inhabited by machines. Never seen other functioning droids like Vec or Vari on Earth, only on M-2. Earth machines are similar, but Giru thinks Vec and Vari are advanced models.
[He's just...trying to figure out where he his and what reality he's in because this is scary okay]
no subject
[Vari sounds very flattered by what Giru said, always having been a bit conscious about her date and model compared to other bots here.
Giving his fellow droid a look, Vec tries to focus on something that catches his attention at last.]
M-2? Is that the plant you are from them judging by your phrasing? [Because it is clear at this point that the way Giru speaks about M-2 and Earth suggests they are very different places. And if he's from a plant made by machines only...] If only machines are where you are from, how did you come to be?
[Trying to distract his new companion from the fact he isn't where he is anymore by asking him questions. It must be odd for Giru to be here of all places.]
no subject
M-2 is an entire planet! giru giru. Some similar to Vec and Vari, others just workers, and some are combat units! Giru was created by Dr. Myuu, but he was destroyed by his own creation! N-n-not Giru! Different creation!
[Trust Giru, he is happy about that.] Earth however, only has simple robots. Trunks and Trunks's mother would want to disassemble Vec and Vari, then put back together, good as new!
[Well, maybe just Bulma would want to do that, but details.]
no subject
[The idea of being dismantled by anyone doesn't appeal to Vec but Vari is fascinated with what Giru is telling them. Never has she ever come across literary works that spoke of worlds that sole inhabitants were robots and robots only.
Even the idea of being taken apart did not frighten her. Okay. It did a little bit but Giru seems to have confidence in his owners so why shouldn't she? They knew best after all.]
so trunks and his mother are robot engineers of some sort? scientists? that is what master shelley is too. he is a scientist for the golden mean here. [It is impossible to hide her pride as they step into the garden. While the sunlight may reveal the dents and irremovable stains on her surface, the glow in her eyes are there.] considered very good. our mistress is following his footsteps.</font?
no subject
[He notices now that Vari must be an older model, due to those stains and dents.] Does Vari not receive maintenance? [He points at her stains.] Perhaps should seek out Master Shelley...
[No, Giru is not very good with manners. He calls it like he sees it. He also often gets kicked into walls because of it too.]
no subject
[ The sound that comes out of Vari's audio system can be best described as 'panicked' to a listener. She stares at Giru in shock as if the suggestion was mere slander itself.
Seeing his companion's reaction, he pats her on her back panel and clears his vocal components so he could take over the conversation here. While Vec didn't look any better with his own scratches and off white paint here and there on his form, he had no fear of explaining why they still look like this. Never mind the fact a nearby gardener bot looked cleaner and sleeker than them. ]
much as we would like improvements to our aesthetics, it is not a subject we can bring up with master shelley. he is... a complicated man. we wish not to excite him. our humans have an odd tendency to act like that.
no subject
Maybe can work on yourselves and make improvements! Machines on M-2 do it regularly, and even help each other! giru giru
no subject
[ Does Vec sound shocked to hear this! If that was the expression of 'surprise' on his face along with Vari, neither bot does anything to hide it. ]
it makes sense to keep yourself up-to-date if there are only robots but... but how did you do that? [ Vari has to hide a sound that may sound similar to a 'giggle' because it isn't everyday she sees or hears Vec sound so in awe of something that isn't Master Shelley. ]
no subject
[It was a sad life on M-2.]
no subject
[ the two were really sympathetic to hear that. being disposed due to outliving their usefulness is a thing they fear. a lot. ]
perhaps we can help each other then? [ vari is the one who speaks up to her robot partner's surprise. ] we will give you nourishment and you teach us how to upgrade ourselves? it seems to be a logical trade-off.
