[It had been a few days since the hunt for the Great Mujina Youkai had come to an end, having to say goodbye to the kids and to Yoimiya too. The ship that was to take him back to Snezhnaya would be arriving a bit later in the day, and Childe sighs as he sits back in his chair in the tent he's occupying in one such hidden Fatui camp. He had a great time in Inazuma. The country was beautiful, rich with a new culture to learn and all sorts of places to explore and fight new and more exciting enemies. All his things were in order- the gifts that he'd bought to bring back to his family, Teucer's Onikabuto in a little bug box with some food to keep it alive during the trip back- all he'd have to do is wait for the ship and he'd be on his way.

He tells himself that he'd return to the country one day, once tensions between the Fatui and the Shogunate calm down. It was a miracle that he was able to stay as long as he has, evading the Tenryou Commission. He has some people to thank for that, and he won't forget what they did for him while he's been here. Some gifts would be in order for them upon his return.

The Harbinger idly plays with a writing utensil between his fingers. He'd like to bring something from Snezhnaya for Yoimiya, too.

There's a sharp rap at his door, and Childe sighs. He doesn't really want to deal with work right now, perfectly happy reminiscing on the time he's spent in Inazuma before he leaves, but answers with a bored tone to his voice:]

Come in.

[An agent enters, bowing and standing at attention.]

Sir, we've captured a Tenryou Commission spy that was found sneaking around. We've taken her into custody and are awaiting your orders on how to deal with her.

[Childe's eyebrow raises. It should have been hard to find this camp, even by the Shuumatsuban. Somehow, doubt creeps into his mind, but stands from his chair.]

Alright, I'll deal with it myself. At least I can have one last bit of fun before I depart.

[The agent only bows once more, to lead Childe towards the prisoner. He knows better than to argue with the Harbinger, but feels sorry for the spy. The two cross the camp to another tent, the agent stopping him right before lifting the flap for his senior commander.]

She claims to be from the fireworks shop, but we've seen Tenryou soldiers stop frequently at it.

[Before he can answer, the flap is lifted to reveal a certain girl that he'd met not but a few days ago...]

[Tartaglia takes Yoimiya's hand as she reaches for it, heading off into the kitchen to help out and get everything set for the dinner table. Naturally, his mom has it all ready for them to take out to the table, so the two of them work together and get it all ready for the feast. It doesn't take too long, and before anyone knows it, it's finally time.

The spread of food on the table is vast, from chicken kiev to olivier salad all the way down to pies that sit cooling in the kitchen for dessert. Tartaglia grabs a chair and pulls it out for Yoimiya, giggling quietly at his girlfriend's enthusiasm.]

Wait until you try it all.

[He grins before pushing her seat in for her once she's in it, taking the chair next to her to sit. He immediately reaches for the bowl of rassolnik, serving himself some of the soup before the munchkins come tearing in to find their seat at the table, the three of them hopping into each of their seats on the opposite side of the table to stare at all the food mom made. His mother smiles back proudly to Yoimiya at her compliment, happy to see that Yoimiya thinks well of all the food in front of her.]

Thank you Yoimiya, I hope you'll enjoy it. Did Ajax not make any for you while he was in Inazuma?

[His mother shoots him a playful look, they probably didn't have the ingredients there to really make a slice of home, but that doesn't mean she won't tease her son about it. The Harbinger shoots a look back at her, huffing in his seat.]

Please, you know I can't make traditional Snezhnayan food without the proper ingredients. Sure, you can replace some, but it's just not the same...

[ Poor Ajax. His mother is relentless. If she is already poking fun at him in front of his girlfriend this much, Yoimiya can't imagine how much he's been on the receiving end of her teasing throughout his life. She'll apologize to her man later but... sorry, she can't help but burst into a chorus of lighthearted chirpy giggles at his mama's jest. It's pretty funny to see the fierce, confident Harbinger get taken down a peg or two by his own mom. ]

That's right, you beat him to the punch! When the Sakoku Decree was issued, Inazuma wasn't in a state to trade with other countries. Ajax was visiting when the borders just opened back up and at the time, finding anything from Snezhnaya or the other nations was still a challenge. [ a beat ] So, it's all thanks to you that I get to try Snezhnayan food for the very first time, hehe.

[ Sorry, boyfriend. She couldn't help but join in with your mom. As an apology, Yoimiya slyly hoists her foot, rubbing his leg from underneath the table. Once they are alone, he will also receive an extra special compensation from her............

But for now! It's chow time and oh boy, Yoimiya is practically drooling over the mouth-watering spread. Eager to sink her fangs into all of these tasty goodies, Yoimiya gets a little bit of everything from a bowl of borscht to chebureki, to the chicken kiev, and last but certainly not least, the olivier salad. Fork and spoon in hand, she wastes no time trying everything. ]

Ooh...! It's so delicious, the chicken kiev is melting in my mouth. This is my first time trying borscht and my tummy feels so warm and happy.

[ Yoimiya is definitely going to leave the table full and happy by the time she's done eating. ]

[Man, getting ganged up on like this...but Yoimiya's foot rubbing him is at least enough of an apology that he doesn't huff at the table. Not like he hasn't been made fun of plenty of times by his older siblings though. Thankfully they're not here tonight, or else it might be a bloodbath with him as the victim for a change. Instead, he gives both of the lovely ladies a look while he dishes himself up with more food until his plate is covered with all sorts of delights that his mother has made.

He's glad to see that Yoimiya is loving a slice of his home, and so does his mother. The kids are all happily digging in right alongside Yoimiya, chattering with each other while also telling Yoimiya about how much she should stay in Snezhnaya if she likes it so much, that mom makes the best food ever! and the like. His mother smiles back to her, thanking her for the compliment, but Ajax can hear the heavy footsteps of a latecomer behind him as his eyes move to look, but his head doesn't move an inch.

He'd wondered if Father would join them tonight, and it looks like he is. The tall figure of a man worn by time and seven children lumbers to the dining room table to take the empty seat next to his mom, sitting down heavily with a cough that he tries to suppress the best he can before scooting himself into the table. The kids instantly lower their volume, and Ajax simply nods his head in greeting.]

Apologies for coming down late. I hadn't realized what time it was. Anthon, you should have come and gotten me for dinner.

[Anthon apologies immediately with a sorry, Father, but dinner continues on as if nothing were amiss. His mom helps to get some food on his plate, as he gets some bread for himself to butter.]

So, you're Yoimiya? It's a pleasure to finally meet you. My son hasn't quieted down ever since he came back from Snezhnaya about the girl he met in Inazuma, so naturally I had to see who managed to tame my wild child.

[To that, Tartaglia says nothing- his wildness is still a bit of a sore spot for him, but that was a whole other trauma for another day- instead choosing to chuckle quietly, even if it's a bit awkward.]

Yoimiya, this is my father. Don't take him all that seriously, he likes to poke fun at my adventures when I was younger, is all.

[ That look... Yoimiya sees it but being the brat she is, chooses to feign innocence with a sweet smile. This is the expression of a girl who has done nothing wrong in her life. ~~HAHAHAHA-~~

Pretending to be a sweet innocent angel aside, the rest of the dinner goes without a hitch! Ajax's home has been nothing short of cozy, warm, and welcoming, with each family member having hearts as big as the home itself. Yoimiya is having the time of her life chatting with his mom and the kids while they feast on this delicious dinner. The children have been the sweetest bundle of joys ever, they ask her to stay in Snezhnaya with the most precious faces ever it makes her feel bad she can't live here quite yet. By the end of this trip, they'll tempt her so badly it will take all of her willpower to go back to Inazuma. But if it's ever in the cards, she would love a future where she can live with this amazing family.

As she is slurping down a spoonful of Mama Ajax's delicious borscht, the sounds of bulky tromps heading into the kitchen cause her ears to perk up in curiosity. Yoimiya looks over to where the noise in question, finally locking eyes with none other than the father of the household himself. From what Ajax has said about his condition, she was worried his dad might not feel well enough to join them but upon seeing him, she's filled with relief and happiness, greeting him with a soft, warm smile. ]

Hello! It's so nice to meet you. Thank you for allowing me to stay in your lovely home. Everyone has been so wonderful and welcoming.

[ Oh dear, the poor guy is trying his best to suppress his cough but it can still be heard. For the time being, she'll try not to bring attention to it. She knows her dad back home wouldn't allow his ailment to be brought up during a joyful dinner like this. Ajax's quiet, awkward chuckle catches her attention, making a note to ask him about that later. She can't pinpoint the part that made him feel awkward but if there's something Yoimiya is good at, it's making a conversation light-hearted and fun. ]

Isn't there a saying that goes... the apple doesn't far fall from the tree? I think can see where Ajax gets his adventurous side from. He told me you used to be an Adventurer back in the day and I think that's incredible!

[Hoping that things go well between Yoimiya and his old man, Tartaglia now opts now to be quiet to let them have a conversation. Speak when spoken to, that's the best policy going forward. He's already decided to speak up in defense of himself, but he knows better than to push it when Father is in the room. It's amusing to him how Yoimiya also seems to defend him in a way- but he keeps that smile to himself.]

So he did tell you about what his old man used to do? Hahahaha...yes, I was. I used to worry his mother sick with some of the adventures I used to go on...want to hear a story about one?

[In which his dad begins to yap all about some grand adventure he took in Natlan once when he was younger, regaling Yoimiya and the rest of the table about a expedition into a dangerous cave, wrought with all sorts of monsters that they had to fight off, only to emerge with some rare treasure at the end too.

It's no wonder where Ajax also gets his ability to ramble about his own adventures...definitely got it from his dad.

At the end of the long story, the kids are absolutely enamored with their dad's story, and Ajax simply smiles as he feels a bit of nostalgia hit him from long days past when his dad used to tell him stories like this all the time. It's special to him that Yoimiya also gets to partake in it, something he'll probably talk about with her later when they're finally alone.]

...And we received quite the reward for our efforts! [His dad finally finishes, looking proud of himself.]

Yes, I think I remember this story, Father. You used to tell me this one when we went ice fishing. This must be the...twelfth or thirteenth time I've heard it, haha.

Come now, it's a good one. Yoimiya has never heard it before. What'd you think, young lady?

[As if he were searching for praise....just like Ajax does, sometimes.]

[ Oh, she is really starting to see the resemblance between son and father. The way his eyes glisten with pure joy and excitement as he recounts his harrowing adventure in Natlan is quintessential Ajax, she can see where her boyfriend gets his penchant for danger from. Poor Mama Ajax... this woman has been put through the wringer, hopefully her hairs hasn't been too split by her man.

Amusement aside, his dad has the floor earning Yoimiya's full, undivided attention with her ears perked up to his rambles. Like the kids, she listens in childlike wonder, eyes shimmering, completely enamored by his epic tale. She can picture everything in her head vividly, his journeying through a scorched cave while bravely fighting off monsters. It's the kind of exciting life she would love to live. And when he's finished, Yoimiya gives his dad a standing ovation, clapping her hands in glee. ]

What an amazing story! I was on the edge of my seat when those monsters suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It's no wonder why y'all received a nice reward, well deserved for braving through a dangerous cave.

[ Sorry boyfriend, she's absolutely encouraging his father on this one, it's too cool! It's no wonder he's so proud of this story if his son has had to hear about it twelve or thirteen times. ]

Whenever you get a chance, I'd love to hear more about your adventures! I bet you have countless exciting stories to share.

[ Looks like she was right on her assessment, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It's obvious where Ajax gets his desire for praise from. ]

[It takes all of Tartaglia's power to not roll his eyes the way his dad is just sitting there, drinking up all that attention and praise. Granted, he was enamored too by the wild adventuring stories that his dad used to tell on fishing trips, but man it's another thing when he's seeing him do it while his siblings and his girlfriend are present in the room. Unfortunately, Ajax isn't self aware enough to understand that he's just as bad...]

Maybe another time, hehe.

[If he doesn't stop this here, they'll be here at the table the rest of the night listening to his dad's stories. Not that they're boring by any means, but he does want to spend some of Yoimiya's vacation with her. His father huffs, folding his arms but accepting that he knows he'll spill into hours of stories if he doesn't pump the brakes now.]

Okay, okay. Just you wait, I've got even more exciting stories to tell than that. If you kids to a good job helping your mother clean up, maybe I'll tell another one, [he says, turning to the three younger children.

All three of them look back at their dad, their expressions deadpan like they've heard this nag from him plenty of times before and don't need to be told again, and say in unison:]

We know, Father.

[Tartaglia has to bite down on his lip so hard to keep himself from laughing that it hurts, wondering when his cute little siblings got so sassy, his eyes darting over to Yoimiya to gauge her own reaction to that. Oh archons, they're growing up too fast...]

Oookay, okay. Let's just focus on finishing our dinner first.

[ Even an apple lacking self-awareness doesn't fall far from the tree...

Aw, she wanted to hear more epic tales from Papa Ajax. :c But it's understandable, her own dad is a big-time yapper ~~No wonder it's where the daughter gets it from~~ and if Yoimiya were in Ajax's position, she'd also want to put a stop to it before her sweet father talks everyone's ears off. She reaches for another portion of chebureki, chewing on it in amusement while watching a dad banter with his three youngest children.

Oh goodness.

It takes all of Yoimiya's willpower to keep herself from falling out of the chair in a laughing fit. Who would have thought that Ajax's three cute siblings had some sass in them? They were in such perfect unison... did those three practice it together? Those are the faces of three kids who have heard this same old song and dance from their dad one too many times. ]

That's right! Let's enjoy your mother's cooking, I can't get enough of these amazing dishes. And when we're finished... [ She flashes Ajax a bright smile, feeling that now is the best time to unveil what they have in store. ] I brought some presents from Inazuma I'd like to give to everyone. But we gotta make sure we eat first, okay?

[ She figures that should get those three little angels hyped and no longer looking deadpan. ]

[Yoimiya's suggestion works like a charm, the kids all perk up at the sound of presents that are waiting for them, straight from Inazuma! Their big brother already brought them all sorts of presents, but there can never be enough presents, and they sit at attention with their bright eyes shining at her with enthusiasm.]

Yoimiya brought us presents! C'mon you two, hurry up and finish your dinner!

[Anthon urges his siblings to eat, digging into his own dish with a new zeal, a shining example to the other two to follow suit. Teucer immediately starts eating all his food, even the stuff he doesn't really like, while Tonia also joins them, albeit not quite as fast.]

Okay you two, if you eat too quickly you're going to get sick. The presents aren't going anywhere. Mother, Father, allow me to clean up after dinner. I'll join all of you out in the den when I've got everything taken care of. I wouldn't want to keep you from all the nice surprises Yoimiya has for you all.

[Nodding her head back at her son, his mom smiles at the both of them, happy with that arrangement.]

Alright, but don't take too long. You'll miss out on all the excitement.

[That and she's okay with it because she did all the cooking.]

[ Adorable. Endearing. The sweetest little gems. Ajax's siblings are Snezhnaya's most precious treasure, she is so blessed to have the opportunity to meet them. Yoimiya has been around kids long enough to know they will immediately do as told if presents are on the line and they prove her right with that assessment! They're so silly shoveling down the food at high speed, she can't help but giggle at them. Note to self: presents are the trick to get Teucer to eat the food he normally wouldn't! ]

Hehe, I'm happy to see y'all so excited! But Ajax is right, don't eat too fast, or else you might you'll make yourself sick. And it will be hard to enjoy presents with a belly ache.

[ Yoimiya was just like them as a kid, she recalls bouncing with excitement whenever Inazuma's holiday; Children's Day was just around the corner. She couldn't wait to stuff her face with mochi and see what presents her parents gave her.

Her eyes glimmer at his suggestion, she swears she feels her heart melting at his kind gesture to take care of the dishes. He's a good son and brother, that's for sure. His family has every right to be proud of him. ]

Thank you, Ajax! You're always so considerate. [ Of course, she can't help but preen on him a bit, even if his family knows all about what a good son he is. ] Wait till y'all see how big the chest I brought from Inazuma is. He was a huge help and did all the heavy lifting to bring it downstairs.

[ Although she can't wait to give the family the gifts, Yoimiya happily makes sure to enjoy the delicious meal, trying everything his sweet mother has prepared for them. (She cannot get enough of that amazing chebureki!) After having her fill, she neatly places the plates and utensils to the side. ]

I just finished eating, so I'll go ahead and get everything ready!

[ With a pep in her step and a skip to her beat, she excitedly gets out of the chair and makes her way to the living room where the two of them expertly hid the chest. ]

[The kids only slow slightly in their speed to eat all the food on their plates to sooner get back out into the den where all their presents surely are. Ajax's mother and father both smile at Yoimiya- such a thoughtful young lady, he better feel lucky he found such a nice girl like her- and his mom nods as the rest of the finish their own meals. The kids squeal with glee, hurrying to take their plates to the kitchen to subsequently run into the den to take their places on the couches, chattering between each other with their guesses of what she might of brought versus what Tartaglia had already bought home for them from his own trip to Inazuma. His father stands up, thanking his wife for the meal and goes out to join his kids, while his mom picks up the left over plates to help Tartaglia put some of it in the kitchen before going out there herself.

Ajax is a diligent, fast worker, so it's not too long before he's finished cleaning up and is wiping his hands off with a drying towel from the kitchen to finally join Yoimiya and his family out in the den. He can see the chest that's now drug out from its hiding spot, taking a seat right next to Yoimiya so he can help pass out the gifts to the rest of the family so she doesn't have to get up and do it herself. It's sort of like a small Christmas, if that were a holiday in Teyvat- but it's a wonderful time spent with family as far as he's concerned.]

I hope I didn't miss too much. I'd hate to miss the look on everyone's faces from the surprise of what they're getting.

[Teucer instantly picks up on how his big brother has phrased this, looking at him with a mild betrayal in his eyes.]

You peeked! You already know what's in there, don't you brother????

[The Harbinger holds his hands up in a faux gesture of guilt. Sure, he does know, but he's allowed to know!]

It was only one small peek, but it was too dark to see! Yoimiya caught me before I got a good look at anything.

[Teucer huffs a few times, but he seems to accept Tartaglia's answer, settling back down.]

Okay, but as long as you didn't see. That wouldn't be fair at all.

[ Now that everyone has settled in the den and Ajax has made his grand ol' entrance after diligently finishing up the dishes, Yoimiya is excited to open the chest and unveil all the presents she's been eager to give to his family. She unlatches the chest lock while listening to Teucer get onto his older brother's case. That little guy is going places, that's for sure. Yoimiya is internally giggling and is thoroughly impressed he was able to pick up Ajax's phrasing on the spot. ]

Don't worry Teucer, it really was just a quick peek! I made sure to quickly shut the lid before he got a good look, hehe.

[ Actually, he saw a lot more than just a peek and even gave his seal of approval but for the sake of Tartaglia (so he doesn't continue to get hounded by his younger brother...) his secret is safe with her! But for now, it's present unveiling time! ]

So, the first thing I brought for everyone is these silk kimono robes! They're lightweight and cozy to wear around the house.

[ She greatly appreciates that her lovely Ajax is seated right next to her so he can assist with handing out gifts. So sweet and considerate, she'll be sure to shower him with affection and kisses once they're away from prying eyes. She starts off by handing him the neatly folded robes for both of his parents and the three children. ]

And for the three of you... Spinning tops and kendama are some of the most popular toys in Inazuma. [ She shoots the boys a beaming smile. ] I think the two of you will have fun playing with them together, I'll show you how it works after we're done. And for you, Tonia! I thought these pins and comb would look adorable on you. I also made these boxes for each of you, just like the one I'm wearing in my hair.

[ Yoimiya will handle the gifts for the kids, presenting Anton and Teucer with Inazuma's finest spinning tops, and kendama, Tonia the hairpin, and comb. And of course, the personalized candy boxes stuffed full of sweets. ]

Ajax, could you bring the chest over to your parents? [ So that way the children stay far away from the alcohol. ] I brought y'all sake in all sorts of flavors, relaxing bath salts, a fan for the mom, and a katana for the dad. There are also presents for the older siblings whenever they get a chance to visit.

[ And last but certainly not least... ]

And of course, it wouldn't be a Naganohara Yoimiya present if I didn't bring fireworks. I brought homemade sparklers and fireworks for each one of you.

[Thankful that Yoimiya's covered his ass from getting in trouble with his little brother, he happily begins to distribute the kimonos out for the kids first, and then he gets up to give his parents the ones meant for them. All his siblings oooo and ahhh at how nice the fabric feels, with Teucer rubbing his face against it unabashedly while Anthon sits nicely with it in his lap. Tonia is holding it out in front of her in awe, it's so pretty and she's obviously fallen in love with it. His parents smile and do the same, except with a lack of total awe- instead their expressions are that of gratitude. Ajax really, really should feel lucky he found such a nice girl.

When presented with toys, all the kids start to vibrate so much that Ajax is positive they're going to launch themselves out into space. Both Teucer and Anthon reach greedily for the toys, saying how they're so cool and that they can't wait to learn how to use them, thanking Yoimiya while turning the tops over in their hands to see the craftsmanship. Tonia accepts the hair accessories with stars in her eyes, they're so pretty, and she runs her hand over the decorations engraved into the comb. All three of them look up at her to say their biggest thank yous, as polite children should, before turning their attention back towards their gifts. They're so happy about the things they've gotten from Yoimiya, she's the best lady ever in their book. They're absolutely distracted now, with one of them digging into the sweets, that they don't notice that Ajax nods to Yoimiya and brings the chest over in front of his parents so they can get their presents.

He helps take the gifts out one by one, his dad weighing the katana in his hands carefully, as if it were a weapon he were all too familiar with in a way, while his mom happily fans herself with the authentic Inazuman paper fan. They all look happy from getting showered in gifts, and Tartaglia moves the chest with the remaining gifts for his older siblings to collect one day when they finally return home on a visit.]

Thank you, Yoimiya. This is one of the most thoughtful gifts we've ever gotten.

[His mother is the one to speak for the whole group, the rest of them nodding their heads in agreement. Ajax's father has to smack Anthon's hand away from the fireworks- can't have that going off in the house- giving his younger son the stink eye while Childe only laughs at the interaction.]

Yoimiya is also the one who helped me pick out the gifts I brought home from Inazuma. She's got a pretty good eye for these kinds of things. But now that the gifts are distributed, it feels like now is a good time to let everyone have fun with their new things.

[It's also his way of telling his parents he'd like some alone time with Yoimiya now. He's been waiting patiently for months for her to come so he can see her again.]

Of course, I'm going to hang this up on the wall. Maybe later, I'll tell you all the story of when I was trapped in the desert with only a scimitar and a small canteen of water...

Hahaha, next time, Father. [He cuts off his dad before that story gets rolling, though he has an inkling this one might be fake...]

Yoimiya, want to show the kids how their toys work quickly and join me upstairs? We didn't get much of a chance to help you get settled in.

[ Their warm reactions and gratitude are worth more than a million mora. Although she's always been confident about her gift-giving skills, there was always going to be that little bit of anxiety since it's her boyfriend's family so more than anything, she really wants to make a good first impression. But as she listens to their kind words and watches each one of them admire their gifts, Yoimiya realizes that it was silly to even be nervous in the first place. Every single member of Ajax's family is kind, gracious, loving and she feels so, so blessed to have met them. It's easy to see why Ajax grew up to be the stellar guy that he is with the support of his wonderful family. Spending time with them is the warmth that will get her through Snezhnaya's harsh weather and she wouldn't have it any other way.

This trip to Snezhnaya has been a dream come true. As she watches Tonia try on the hairclips, giggles at the boys wasting no time grabbing the toys, admires his graceful mom fanning herself, and in awe at how cool his dad looks with that shiny new katana, Yoimiya feels so welcomed in this household. It might be too soon to harbor such thoughts but she can already envision a future with this loving family. ]

You're welcome! It's the least I could do for inviting me into your wonderful home. Thank you all very much.

[ To show her gratitude, Yoimiya clasps her hands together on her stomach and gives the family a traditional Inazuman bow.

She catches the true meaning behind Ajax's words, he wishes to spend some alone time with her and those feelings are returned tenfold. Although she's having the time of her life with his family, she too, has been patiently waiting to be with him. Those months apart from each other felt like agonizing long years. Now that they're finally within arm's reach, she wishes to spend some time with him, just the two of them.

But it is hard not to get enthralled by the tale his father begins to spin! Yoimiya's eyes grow wide with excitement, wanting to know how he was able to make it out of that harrowing desert with nothing but a scimitar and a small canteen of water. Though it's probably for the best Ajax cuts his father off, or else they might actually be out here listening to him all night long. ]

[ Fortunately for Ajax's father, he isn't the only big talker in this room, she is beside herself with joy to explain how the toys work. She's very animated in her explanations, telling the boys that the goal of the tops is to knock each other out and be the last top spinning, she gives them a thorough demonstration of kendama, excitedly showing them how to land the ball into the cups. AND OF COURSE! She doesn't forget to remind the kids to ONLY play with the fireworks outside with adult supervision. Once the ~~lengthy~~ speech is over, Yoimiya says her goodnights, gives each one of the family members a warm hug before parting ways with Ajax back to his room. ]

Hehe, my heart can't stop racing from all of the excitement. Goodness, it feels like it's going to beat out of my chest. I seriously can't thank you enough for bringing me here, Ajax.

[ She takes a seat on his bed to calm down from all of the excitement, placing a hand over her chest to feel the thunderous beating of her heart. ]

Your family are all wonderful, each and every one of them. I hope it's not weird for me to say that I already adore all of them.

[Now that his family is preoccupied with their new things, teaching of toys is out of the way, they can finally have some alone time. He's been waiting for this for a while, and as they finally climb the stairs to reach his bedroom once more, he takes a seat right next to her as they both finally have the opportunity to relax and spend time with just each other. As much as he loves his family and he's so glad to be able to share them with her, he also needs this time too- after this trip, who knows how long it'll be before he's able to see her again.

His face softens at her words, happy to hear that she likes them, and that they like her in turn. He had a feeling they would, Yoimiya is someone who's pretty easy to get along with, if even her being with him was a sign of that. Who would dare knowingly involve themselves with a Harbinger, if they weren't incredibly kind and forgiving. It's something he promises he won't take for granted.]

Not at all. They have a tendency to grow on people pretty quickly, and I can tell they really like you, too.

[Chuckling quietly, Ajax wraps his arm around her so the two of them can cuddle close, quieting his own excitement so he can drink in the moment of being able to peacefully sit here with her. His head cranes down to nuzzle into the crook of her neck, eyes closing so he can soak up her presence.]

Thank you for coming. I know the journey was hard, and leaving your father and mother behind isn't easy. But I promise it'll be well worth it. I've missed you so much, there wasn't a second that went by where I didn't think of you during our time apart.

[ His family have been some of the most wonderful hosts she's had the pleasure of encountering, she'll always be thankful for how they were already treating her like own of their own. Now that the excitement is calming down, she just wants to spend some long-awaited alone time with the man who has captured her heart. It's been so excruciatingly long since they last got to be in each other's arms and Yoimiya swears to make the most any moment spent with him.

His arms enveloping her as they simply sit and enjoy each other's company is pure bliss, it feels like they have their own corner of paradise in his room. The thrills might be calming down but the profound beating of her heart has yet to still. Soft noises of contentment spill out his to the gentle brush of his head nuzzling into her neck. She leans back to drink in his presence, rubbing her cheek against that tuft of beautiful ginger locks she's missed so much. ]

It's already been more than worth it, thanks to you and your lovely family. Thank you again for providing the means to make sure my mom and pops are well taken care of back home. I just know they're going to be in good hands.

[ Fatui or not, she fully trusts Ajax, her parents will be well taken care of under the watchful eye of his subordinate. ~~Besides, she feels more sorry for the Agent... he's the one who has to deal with her zany father's antics LOL~~ ]

I missed you too Ajax. I missed you so, so much. I feel like I'm going to burst with joy now that we're together. I couldn't stop thinking about you either, whenever I went to bed, you're all I saw in my dreams. This reunion has been one of the happiest moments of my life.

[Just her presence here with him almost doesn't feel real, but when she nuzzles into his hair he knows it is, she's really here. It's almost felt strange to have her here in his home, unaccustomed to even having someone else outside of the Rooster here. It's a sight he yearns to have all the time, unsure if he should allow himself to get used to having her here, but maybe he's thinking too much on it instead of just allowing himself the joy of having her with him. He sighs happily, a smile creeping up into his features as he sits with her, resigning to just let himself be content with what he has and to ensure that this is the best trip she'll ever have until the next time they're finally able to meet.]

I feel the same. I've been looking forward to this day for far too long. I'd really just like to enjoy our private time together for the rest of the night, if you don't mind. I want to savor this for as long as we can.

[Tartaglia plants a loving kiss to her cheek, being content to doing something with her if she wanted to go out and explore Snezhnaya or if she wanted to stay in and just lay with him in his room. As long as he can feel the warmth of her body against him, he's open to anything.]

I've got a few plans for us tomorrow, but tonight we can do anything you wish. All I ask is for a little time later on where we can have a little...intimate time together.

[ Oh, she absolutely doesn't mind in the slightest, she's been dreaming laying together with his strong arms wrapped around her for nights on end. The adventures waiting for her in Snezhnaya fill her heart to the brim with excitement, she wants to explore every last inch of her beloved's home country. There's so much to do, so much to see, and Yoimiya wants to experience it all with the one she holds dear. But for now, she just wants to spend some much-needed alone time with her beloved. The two of them have been apart for so long, they deserve a quiet moment to themselves where they can simply bask in each other's warmth. ]

I don't mind at all, silly. Our reunion is like a dream come true and I wish to spend every waking moment with you.

[ Just the press of his lips to her cheek is everything she's been yearning for and more. Going on without his touch has been the most excruciating wait of her life. Quiet little hums bubble out of her as she leans her head, nuzzling her cheek into his chest. ]

Hmm, what do I want to do? Let me think. [ Even though this little imp knows exactly what she wants, she pretends to ponder but still can't quite hide the giggles spilling out of her lips. ] What I want... is to be yours for the rest of the evening. Anything you want, I'll be happy to give it to you. Ever since you left, I couldn't stop thinking about how much I miss having your hands all over me.

[Tartaglia holds her even closer, so she can hear the beat of his heart in his chest as she presses her head to it, happiness flooding him and excitement starting to burn in his veins. That's all she really needed to say to know what they'd be doing the rest of the evening, and he'd be more than happy to run his hands all over her if that's what she desires. He begins with pressing kisses to the top of her head, trying to entice her now to look up at him so he can start to press even more along her jawline, to eventually capture her in a deep lip lock full of passion and need to satisfy what they've been deprived of for so long.]

Allow me to remedy that, then.

[Ajax won't waste too much time, beginning to give her body the attention it deserves, removing piece by piece of her outfit as his fingers play with her in all the right spots and his mouth services her where she aches the most, all leading to a wonderful night together where they both get to drown in each other's bodies until they're too tired to move.]

[The next morning leaves Childe refreshed and feeling wonderful, waking up next to his precious Yoimiya, the warmth of the bed beckoning for them to stay in it for a while and soak in each other's presences. But they eventually do have to get up for a traditional Snezhnayan breakfast prepared by his mother that has a stronger call for them than the warmth of the bed. The smell wafts upstairs and brings down the entire family to eat, in preparation for the rest of the day. Ajax has plans for himself and Yoimiya, and after they both throw on their big Harbinger coats, it's out in the chilly weather for the day. He can't wait to show her the sights of Snezhnaya, traveling out from his hometown to the countryside to let her get a glimpse of how pretty it is despite the biting cold. Mountainous landscapes pepper the horizon along with small villages they travel through along the way that have made every spot where people have settled into a homely town where everyone helps to take care of each other through the harsh climate. Some villages seem more prosperous than others, but the sentiment is all the same- they all rely on each other to fight against their common enemy- the snow and ice.

And he's so happy to be able to share it all with her.]

Alright, there's one last place I want to take you. There's a series of cave systems here in Snezhnaya, and my older brothers used to take me there as a kid to try to increase my courage, haha.

[He says this as they slowly make their way back towards Morepesok, to be dropped off from their Fatui escort so they can enjoy the areas around his hometown.]

I wasn't the bravest soul when I was little, and they thought it was always funny to see me shake like a leaf every time they took me there. I'd like for them to see me now, braving the darkness. But it was a part of my childhood, and I'd like for you to see it. The inside is actually quite gorgeous in some areas, so I think you'll enjoy it.

[Armed with a backpack full of supplies and torches to be able to see inside of the cave, he leads her to an entrance that doesn't seem like it would house something as large as a cave system. At best, it looks like it might be a bear den, but Tartaglia knows it's anything but.]

Here we are. Ready to do some exploring?

[ Morning comes as the sun rises above the frosty hills and mountains of Snezhnaya, a stray sunbeam peeks through the window of Ajax's room, stirring Yoimiya just enough for her bleary eyes to open to the sight of her gorgeous lover lying in bed with her. A gust of chilly winter air whirls right outside the cabin but with Ajax's arms around her and her body entangled with his, she's filled to the brim with love, only needing him to stay warm. Her body still feels like it's on cloud nine after last night's lovemaking session, it was the first time they got to drown themselves in passion after these long months apart and it was heavenly in every sense. If it wasn't for the mouth-watering aroma of Mama Ajax's cooking, she'd be happy to stay in bed with him all day. But their day has only just begun and Yoimiya isn't about to pass up a chance to explore with her beloved.

After enjoying yet another delicious meal prepared by his kindhearted mother, Yoimiya is fully energized and ready to take on the world. With her beloved's custom-made Harbinger coat and his mask donning the side of her head, she gives each member of the family a warm hug before departing with Tartaglia out the door.

If it weren't for the frost nipping at her red cheeks, this outing feels like a dream. Adventuring with Ajax has been a fantasy of hers that's felt like a pipe dream at times and now, all thanks to him, her longtime wish has finally come true. It's even been better than what she imagined since it's his homeland, a wonderful start to what she hopes will be many more exciting adventures with him. Sparkling ice kissing the mountainous range covered in snow is breathtaking, and seeing small homey villages with inhabitants working together to stave off the cold warms her heart to burst. Snezhnaya has some of the most breathtaking sights in all of Teyvat and Yoimiya is beside herself with joy to experience it all with the love of her life.

Once they make it to their final stop of the day, Yoimiya gives her thanks to their gracious Fatui escort and makes their way to what looks like a bear den from the distance. Trudging through the snow together, a soft smile edges on the corners of her lips as she listens to him share precious memories of his childhood. Poor small Ajax trembling at the thought of even going into a cave is completely unexpected, she's sure his brothers meant well but at the same time... ah, siblings. ]

Seeing who you are now, it's hard for me to picture you as a scared kid. But jokes on your older brothers! We're gonna explore every inch of this cave and I'll tell them about what an amazing guide you were.

[ Backpack full of supplies? Check! Torches? Check! Holding her beloved's hand... ah, no wonder why her hand seems dreadfully empty. Yoimiya wastes no time reaching over to hold Ajax's hand, sliding her fingers around his. ]

Ready! It already looks splendid on the outside, I can't wait to see what it's like inside. I'm really happy you're sharing a part of your childhood with me.

[ Once more. Holding her beloved's hand? Check! ♥ Now she's 100% ready to explore the cave with him. ]

[As her hand slides into his own, he knows they're ready to go. She seems really excited, as she has been so far this entire trip, which makes him happy to see- so he squeezes her hand once, and off they go.

The entrance to the cave is frosted over from the cold that's seeped into it, snow littering the ground until it finally gives way from where the wind can't blow it in anymore- and once they get this far in, he'll have to let go of her hand to get himself a torch so they can see. Lighting it up, he holds it up to reveal what looks like a normal cave tunnel that isn't particularly special in looks...yet.]

I'll admit, it's a little boring at first here, [he says as they descend further, the path now dipping downward like they're beginning to walk down a hill,] but I promise what lies inside is splendorous indeed. Unlike the terrifying stories of monsters that my brothers used to tell me lived in here, it's actually been uninhabited for some time.

[The light from outside begins to grow darker and darker as they leave the entrance behind, bathing the couple in darkness save for the light of the torch.]

It actually wasn't until I wandered back in here after I became a Harbinger that I discovered the true nature of this place. Look.

[And almost as if he'd timed his speech perfectly, they round a corner to show off a grand opening that fills both of their visions with a shining blue that radiates off of the stones inside. They glow like Noctilucous Jade, only with a deeper blue that reflects off of the walls to make it almost ethereal in nature. He stops to let her take it all in, knowing that this is probably one of the most beautiful sights in all of Snezhnaya, right in his own backyard.]

[ A promise from Ajax means that his word is good as gold, there's no doubt the area he's leading her towards is a special place that will shimmer her golden eyes with wonder and splendor. She tails him closely, oohing and aahing as the heat of the fire illuminates the dark path ahead of them, just from a quick glance, the scenery looks like a typical cave but with her sweetheart's promise in the back of her mind, she knows it's going to be anything but ordinary. With every step they take, her heart thrums with thunderous anticipation.

Yoimiya swears he timed that delivery on purpose because sure enough, an enchanting sight comes into view once they round the corner. Just like she figured, her golden eyes light up at the resplendent opening. It almost doesn't seem real, the iridescent stones adorning the cavern walls cast a celestial blue glow that makes her feel as though she's stepped into a fairytale. The rocks look even more beautiful under the light of Ajax's torch as they glisten and shine like precious gemstones. She's in total and complete awe, unable to peel her eyes away from the sparkling blue rays that flit across the frosty cavern walls. ]

Oh my goodness...!

[ This is one of those rare moments where the talkative blonde is left speechless. The whole scenery is just so stunning, she can't find the right words to describe its splendor. ]

Ajax... it's beautiful. Thank you...! Thank you so much for bringing me here. This is one of the most incredible sights I've ever seen.

[ And it's even more special with the knowledge that he discovered this place shortly after becoming a Harbinger, one of the most important times in his life and the reason they were able to meet. The cave itself is absolutely stunning but the best sight of them all is Ajax himself, standing in the middle of the crystalline walls that give him an ethereal appearance. ]

[Everything is worth seeing Yoimiya brighten at the sight of the brilliant glow of the cave, knowing she'd love the scenery in here. It's a wonder that it even exists, and he can't wait to show her the rest of it. They had plenty of supplies to do a little spelunking in here, and he hopes his adventurous, fearless girlfriend is up for the occasion.]

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I figured we could explore it a bit further- I haven't totally scoped the place out myself, and it would be more fun to do it with you anyway. We may run into some monsters, so I hope you're prepared for battle just in case.

[He turns to grin at her, naturally he's going to set them up with something exciting. Trouble is this guy's middle name, and if he can find it, he will.]

The last I was in here, I could've sworn I heard running water, which is unusual for Snezhnaya's climate, as you can imagine. So I'd like to see if there's some kind of volcanic activity in here too, something hot enough to melt the ice to cause such a occurrence. Think you're up for this kind of expedition?

[ Naturally, Yoimiya can always count on her thrill seeking boyfriend to show her a good time. The prospect of adventuring through an unexplored part of the cavern uncovering mysteries and fighting monsters side by side sounds like the picture perfect date. Yoimiya returns his grin with a bright eyes glistening with excitement,
Ajax is the best partner anyone can ask for. ]

Absolutely! You know the way to my adventure loving heart. How awesome would it be if we ventured to a part of the cave no one has and uncovered volcanic activity?

[ Is it possible to use lava in fireworks??? She is already pondering crazy ideas I her head.

There isn't a single ounce of hesitation as she summons her trusty bow. And for some extra help, Yoimiya shows off a trick she's been itching to shown Tartaglia. With a snap of her fingers, a firey goldfish familiar manifests from the flames of her Pyro vision. The sweet darling is here to light the path ahead of them and look cute doing it. ]

Let's go! It will be fun to fight by your side. I'm sure your skills have only improved since the last time we saw each other. It will be a treat to see it for myself.

[He can't help but share in her excitement and glee for this exploration of the cave. He's got an adventuring spirit too, and seeing her this happy about it reassures him that they were going to have a great time doing this and that it'll surely be a memory that the two of them can cherish forever. It would be crazy to really find volcanic activity right on the shore of Snezhnaya- in fact, he's sure this'll be a tale that people won't even believe until they can prove it.

So he shifts his weight, shoulders his backpack a little better and begins to wander into the glowing expanse as she summons her weapon and a new little trick she's got.]

[The goldfish is so emblematic of her, and it's cute to think of a tiny Yoifish guiding them down darkened tunnels to adventure. He lets out a content sigh, noting how adorable Yoimiya really is, and how lucky he is to have her as a partner.]
