He's used to being almost self-sacrificing in his own self-sufficiency, so to suddenly flip over into this kind of dependency on another person is hard on him. But the signs he finds himself searching for never come, and he ends up only chastising himself for looking in the first place. Time, he thinks. Time, and faith in his friend. Boyfriend. Partner. He's still hooked up to an IV - he needs to be - but it's mobile, and an easier one to move around than on Earth.
