He won't let her get away with such an unfair lead, despite smirking with amusement at the entire scene of him chasing after this girl who's playfully baited him into a contest that has no real stakes. It's fun, and she's fun, and he appreciates it as he finally closes in on her.

He's only got a split second to react, and thankfully due to his long legs, he's reached her in time to at least be able to do something about it. So he slides, using that momentum to get underneath her right as she's falling to catch her on top of him, spinning around a few times and skidding a few more feet until they finally come to a stop.
