[Later when he's alone in his own bedroom, he'll think back and imagine how her finger traced shapes on his skin, relaxing together in her room, as if they didn't have a care in the world. She looks absolutely adorable resting against him like this, and he can't hide the goofy smile on his face while she lies there. He laughs with a bit of guilt laced in it- he absolutely does know and she's correctly called him out. Tartaglia shifts just so to really get comfortable with her against him, breathing out a sigh of content through his nose as he basks in this.

However, her next comment is a bit sobering in this rose-colored world, and his face falls.]

[After all this time, it must be tough to still be looking for her sibling. Tartaglia would probably feel the same if he were in her shoes, so for now he'll do everything in his power to get her mind off of her troubles and let her relax. It's a saddening thought, and right now that's got no place for their happy reunion.]
