[ The look on Ajax's face says it all, he's about to make a confession that he really doesn't want to. Seeing him like this, she can't help but take a long breath alongside him and mentally steel herself for what he's about to tell her. But no matter what, Yoimiya swears that she will always stand by his side through thick and thin. They've jumped hoops and boundaries to get to where they are at now, and she's not going to let anything stand in the way of their partnership.
Yoimiya listens to him in rapt attention but no amount of perseverance could prepare her for what he has to say. Her eyes widened in shock as she took in every word, she had a feeling that he saw that monster again but to hear that Ajax took great pleasure in ending that creature's existence is something else. He might be committing atrocities in the name of the Nizhii company, but he's never once struck her as someone who is sadistic and craves the suffering of others. It's scary to think their powers could bend his personality into something more twisted. Her heart truly aches for Ajax, she can tell that he's frightful of the thing lurking inside of him, and she doesn't blame him.
There's a lot she wishes to say, a lot of questions she'd like to ask him. However, none of that matters to her, not when Ajax is going through so many conflicting emotions. Without a second thought, she reaches over to grab his hand, brushing over his knuckles with her thumb. ]
Then, we won't worry about bringing out your powers, it's not worth you having to face that monster every time.
[ Of course, they can't avoid it forever. As much as she'd like to not face any more monsters, fighting is inevitable at this point. Even so, she hopes that maybe, just maybe, Ajax won't have to rely on the creature inside of him to fight. ]
I know we just met and... well, I won't deny that this mark is influencing some of our thoughts and feelings but I can say with absolute certainty that you're way more important to me than summoning some silly powers. Fighting is probably unavoidable at this point but why don't we focus on finding ways to defend ourselves without the use of our powers? Maybe if we start with that, we'll unlock new ways of fighting back.
