[ There's a fleeting moment of happiness when Ajax accepts her proposal, just for her heart to sink at the grim reality of his situation. The monster from that fateful night seemed like it was there specifically for him and after seeing his apartment in shambles... that theory sounds, unfortunately, true. It makes her sick with worry knowing he's never going to feel safe, that he'll always have to be on guard if he wants to stay alive. As horrible as the Nizhnii Corporation is, Ajax doesn't deserve this, he should be living his life to the fullest, not fighting for his life on a daily basis.

Bringing the glass to her lips, she drinks half of the cup to try and take in all the water she can, all the while wishing the cold liquid could wash away their worries. As troubled as she is, Ajax is right. Now's not the time to dwell on this, not when they're intoxicated and beat. They need to be completely sober if they want to have a productive discussion. ]

Let's do it. Having a discussion when our heads are a bit clearer sounds like the best course of action. For now, we should focus on getting some semblance of rest.
