[That wasn't exactly the reaction he was expecting out of her. She'd looked so bored at the station, doing menial secretary work, that he wouldn't of guessed that there was a deep-seated reason as to why she wanted to do that kind of work at all. But from how tense she gets to how she grips her latte, he can already tell there's a lot going on there that's probably got some trauma attached to it all. So he stays quiet, listens, and wonders if maybe he should of just kept his mouth shut about her job to begin with.

After all, he's already admitted to being responsible for ruining people's lives- the way she reacted in the hospital might stem from her past too, and not just because it's natural to despise someone who does the job he does.]
