[Hearing Aether's name makes his features fall for only a moment- they both watched him die too, and Ajax has to stifle a sob when he thinks about it. Perhaps their relationship wasn't much now, due to business and work piling up, because that's just how life ends up working sometimes, doesn't it? But he's still a friend, despite all the shady dealings, and it still pained him to see him die in such a way.

So instead, Ajax chooses to smile and gives a small little laugh instead, maybe to bring a more lighthearted air to the room.]
