[He thought he heard footsteps. Childe immediately ceases his work, listening carefully. Light on their feet, heels tapping against the metal of the floor as they walk further into the factory. He stands after the footsteps have wandered off a little, as to not alert whomever it was to his presence. And then he moves.
It's not hard to pick out the familiar noises of one of the machines activating. He pokes his head around the corner, only to see the snake-like Destroyer loom over Lumine. His eyes narrow; he could intervene, but there's a part of him that just wants to watch. If she gets in trouble, he could step in of course, but it would be more interesting to see how she really works- and what kind of warrior she really is.
For now, he hangs back. He's ready to help if needed, but won't do anything unless she needs him to.]
